Mysore Austin Celebrates 10 Years of Practice and Teaching
Fun fact: it has taken approximately the same amount of time for Andrew to refine his signature look and grow out his beard. Here's a few throwback memories some of you long time students might remember...

To celebrate this milestone we are having a backyard pool party where we will enjoy classic summer food (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free abundant!), hydrating drinks, stay cool by the pool and in the AC indoors, too. I am excited to share the day with everyone!
Please confirm at the Partiful invite below with your plus guests so we can have an estimated count of people. Bring your kids, family, a friend, your dog, your favorite game, and it will be a good time!
SATURDAY AUGUST 15TH 12 - 4 PM
(Hosted in Buda, see address when you RSVP)

Yoga and the Pace of Nature
"Practice becomes firmly grounded when well attained for a long time, without break and in all earnestness."
Yoga sutra 1.14
Sa tu dīrgha kāla nairantarya satkārāāsevito dṛḍhabhūmiḥ
Yoga is a lifelong relationship to practice. In this continuous effort, we should strive to live in good relation to our body and everything around us. Just like we can't force a tree to grow faster, but we can give it the right conditions to flourish. We give it care, the best environment we can, prune it at the right time, and observe how it responds to water, light, and food. Someday the tree will get old, and we should respect that too. This is building the right relationship. We come to know the tree as it grows, adjusting to what it needs. We learn as it grows, and in turn, we grow through the learning.
Nature has its own pace. It's often pretty slow, a lot slower than own busy lives. Stick to your practice, with care, respect and wholeheartedness. Perhaps this is the invitation of the sutra: not to rush the process, but to trust it. To return, day after day, with steadiness and curiosity.
Thank you for being apart of the Mysore Austin community.
See you in practice,
Andrew and Ellie
